How it works

- Answer out loud. Speak the way you would in the interview. Take your time; pauses are data too.
- Read the facts. In under a minute you get your transcript with every filler word, pause, STAR part and number marked — and a short list of concrete things to change next time.
What you actually get
- Filler words, counted — how many times you said “um”, “uh”, “like”, “you know”, “basically”, and where in the answer they appeared.
- Pace — your words per minute, plus every pause longer than three seconds.
- Structure — which of the four STAR parts (Situation, Task, Action, Result) actually appeared in your answer, and which one you skipped.
- Hard evidence — how often you gave a number, a date, a name or a measurable result, instead of saying “a lot” and “successfully”.
- Empty words — “passionate”, “hard-working”, “team player”, counted so you can replace them with something real.
- Your transcript, side by side — the full text of what you said, with every fact marked in place, so you can rehearse the fixed version yourself.
What we don’t do
- We don’t give scores, grades, levels or rankings. No pass rates, no “readiness score”.
- We never judge your accent or pronunciation. You are being understood or you are not; that is not a verdict on how you speak English.
- This is a practice tool, not a hiring service, and it is not used to make hiring decisions.
- We don’t help you during a live interview. Answers you prepare here are yours to say; we are for the work you do before the interview, not a screen you read from during it.
- We don’t keep your recording. It is transcribed, then deleted.

Questions people ask
Do you score me?
No. We count and mark facts: filler words, pace, pauses, STAR parts, numbers you said. You get no score, no level, no ranking and no estimate of your chances. A score tells you how you did; a fact tells you what to change.
Do I need an account for the first 3 questions?
No. The first three questions are free and work without signing up. You only create an account when you buy a pack, so we can keep the questions you paid for on your account.
Is my recording stored?
No. Your recording is sent for transcription, the transcript comes back, and the audio is deleted. We do not keep recordings and we do not use your answers to train AI models. Details are in the privacy policy.
How is this different from Google Interview Warmup?
Google retired Interview Warmup in 2026. It was close to what we do — practice out loud, get facts, no grades — and the biggest free entry point for that disappeared with it. SayDrill continues in that spirit, with two differences: we also accept your résumé and a job description so the questions match your role, and we mark STAR parts and hard evidence in your transcript. SayDrill is not affiliated with Google. “Google Interview Warmup” is a trademark of Google LLC.
Which English do you accept?
Any English you actually speak. We transcribe your words; we do not compare you to a native speaker and we do not report an accent or fluency score.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, under the rules in the refund policy: unused questions are refundable within 7 days of purchase, and we tell you what you’ll get before you confirm.
