How to answer it well
Name the goal in one sentence, then give one concrete thing you did in the last 12 months that only makes sense if that goal is real.
Two mistakes that cost you points
- Giving a goal that has nothing to do with the role you are applying for.
- Stating the goal with no evidence of any step taken.
What to do with this question today
- Answer it out loud once, without stopping. Do not write it down first.
- Read back exactly what you said. Mark the filler words, and the length of your longest pause.
- Answer it again and change one thing — usually the opening line, or the number at the end.
